Miss Rodeo America Kennadee Riggs’ roots run deep in Reno. With her great great grandfather, Harry Frost, being the Reno Rodeo President in 1963 to his daughter, Odile Frost being the 1950 Miss Reno Rodeo.
“All the women in my family have followed in her footsteps and there is even an award given every year at the Reno Rodeo pageant in her honor. So, it’s so special, to say the least, for me to be here as Miss Rodeo America,” she said.
Riggs has been attending Reno Rodeo since she was little but this week was the first time she has ever been horseback in the arena, an opportunity that she describes as so special.
Riggs’ time in Reno will not be the full ten days as she goes on to her next stop as Miss Rodeo America, but she has added to her many memories of Reno Rodeo, this time wearing the coveted crown of Miss Rodeo America.
