Megan Sprague Sets Pace in Reno after 16.85 Second Run

Megan Sprague stopped the clock at 16.85 seconds and vaulted to the top of the leaderboard in Reno. After her ride, an emotional Sprague talked about what her horse means to her.

“Thank you, I’m trying not to cry. This horse is just super special to me. I got him on my birthday in December of last year. He stepped on himself this morning, he wasn’t sore, but I really doubted running him tonight. In the end, he just wouldn’t let me not run him.”

Not only was Sprague’s time the fastest of the rodeo, but it was also the best of her career and she explained what she was feeling after the ride.

“Kind of disbelief I guess. That’s the fastest time I have ever run ever anywhere. Reno is a really special rodeo to me and thank you fans for everything we couldn’t do it without you guys.”
