Madalyn Richards was sure she would walk away from the Greeley Stampede in a state of defeat, however, the cowgirl persevered and captured the win with a run of 2.6-seconds in the Final Round.
Although Richards’ calf was not one she’d hoped for, she stuck to her instincts and the effort was worthwhile.
“This one was a 4.5 calf but I got out exceptionally well and he went right and I threw it and I sure am glad I did,” she said.
Richards was in the money for Round 1 and picked up the pace in Round 2 and the Short Go as she finished in the top spot for both to cinch her position in the Average and secure a check for $9,629.
