Saddle bronc rider Lucas Macza took a kick to the jaw at San Angelo Rodeo after he made an 81-point ride.
“I do remember the ride and I remember the whole start and everything. It started good, my markout was good, I kind of forget the middle of it and after, I remember getting off and I remember running beside Josh to hand him my rein and everything and then I don’t remember much after that,” Macza said.
Everything came together in just the wrong way. He flew back to Canada the night after that to have surgery on his jaw. One month later, he is cleared to return to professional rodeo. We will see him ride at Redding Rodeo in Redding, California.
