Justin McKee’s Tribute to Rex Bugbee

Remembering friend and rodeo great Rex Bugbee, Justin McKee offers some words of inspiration to all of those who have lost someone.

A beloved member of the Frontier Rodeo Company family and highly regarded pickup man, Bugbee recently passed away due to injuries incurred when colliding with another pickup man at the Guymon rodeo. Now, as McKee poetically points out, he’s at the ultimate rodeo in the sky alongside a lineup of legends.

“Today, he’s at the best rodeo he ever worked,” says Mckee, “with Clem McSpadden and Hadley Barrett announcing. Lecile Harris is in the barrel, Rex Dunn is fighting bulls, and Harry Vold has brought the broncs. The weather is perfect, and he’s riding the best horse — and he’s probably just picked up Casey Tibbs.”
