Breakaway Roper Jacey Fortier Bounces Back for Huge Pendleton Win

Jacey Fortier has to hustle back to Pendleton after she left thinking she was not fast enough to make it back to Short Go Saturday and it is a good thing she did. The Montana breakaway roper was a 3.3 to fill the twelfth hole coming back to the Championship Round.

Fortier was the first lady out and the fastest with a 2.7-second run.

“I had a great calf, he was the best one in the pen and I knew, just don’t screw him up,” Forteir said.

After making the drive back with her mom and having it all pay off with a win, the Pendleton Round-Up is one that Fortier will always remember.
