Ivy Conrado-Saebens on the keys to her early 2021 success

Four-time NFR barrel racer Ivy Conrado-Saebens is back on her main horse JLo has already won more than $13,500 in the 2021 season after notching a win at the Sandhills Stock Show and Rodeo.

Conrado-Saebens says she is going the extra mile to make sure JLo stays in top shape. Her new home has a lot of hills, so she’s been riding her more on incline in addition to just ramping up her overall preparation.

She says at Waco in October and Odessa this month she felt more prepared than she was at any rodeo in 2020.

“JLo is at the point now where she really is truly finished,” Conrado-Saebens said. “It’s a lot of fun to just, you know, send her and trust her.”
