Hunter Herrin knew he just needed to take home a check from Ellensburg and he took home the biggest check of all. With a total time of 25 seconds on three head, Herrin left Ellensburg with over $10,000 and he is safely inside the Top 15 for now.
“I wasn’t worried about technically winning first, in my position I needed a check. Second pays really well and we were fortunate enough to clip Westyn by a tenth and either way it worked out, I wouldv’e been happy,” Herrin said.
With two great calves in the long rounds and tricky calf in the Short Round, Herrin did his job and came out on top. He sits No. 12 in the PRCA World Standings with less than a month left to claim his spot in the Top 15 and lock in a place in Las Vegas.
