Hudson Wallace Secures a Spot in the Championship Round at Caldwell Night Rodeo

On the final night of the preliminary rounds at the Caldwell Night Rodeo, Hudson Wallace was the only tie-down roper to get it done fast enough to qualify for Championship Saturday.

Our own Katy Lucas caught up with Hudson following his 8.8 second run on Friday night, asking about what it’s like to compete in Caldwell, the stiff competition, and his horse power.

In the tie-down roping, Caldwell Night Rodeo is an average on three, with the top 12 qualifying for the final round. Leading in the aggregate is reigning World Champion Shad Mayfield (15.3 seconds on two). Wallace is sitting sixth with a total time of 17.9 seconds on two head. He is currently No. 41 in the World Standings.

Watch the final night of the Caldwell Night Rodeo TONIGHT, Saturday August 21, LIVE at 10PM ET on The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy Channel+ app.
