Hailey Kinsel Wins Semifinal by Three Tenths to Advance to Finals in San Antonio

World Champion Hailey Kinsel was first out on the ground in the first set of San Antonio Semifinals and she used that draw to her ultimate advantage. Shutting off the clock at 13.70 Kinsel and Sister made their fastest run at AT&T Center so far to win the Semifinals.

“I knew when I got my draw and that we were top of the ground we could really go for it, send it, and she was really feeling it tonight. She was a lot of horse back there so I was excited,” Kinsel said.

Kinsel had her grandmother, father and aunt and uncle in the stands to make this win even sweeter, being that this is the closest thing she has to a hometown rodeo and in true Kinsel fashion she gave us all a reminder that just getting to rodeo is a blessing.

“Any time we get to run barrels is fun but there’s so much going on across the world right now, we’re just so blessed to get to do this whether it is good or not,” Kinsel said.

Winning the Semis by three tenths secured Kinsel’s place in the Finals alongside Wenda Johnson, Dona Kay Rule, Shannon McReynolds and Jessica Routier.
