Four barrel racers advance to San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo

Thanks to their finishes in Odessa, four barrel racers have advanced to the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and several are recognizable names.

Kellie Collier rode her new mare Salty at the Sandhills Stock Show and Rodeo. Collier made the NFR in 2017 on a different horse, Lolo.

Jodi Goodrich, the wife of tie-down roper Brad Goodrich, started her 2021 campaign by advancing to San Antonio. Goodrich, who now has two older children, is expected to the trail harder than she has in past years on her horse, Bugs.

Steely Steiner comes from a well-known rodeo family and she is making a name for herself in barrel racing, just like her mother did. Steely’s horse, Dirty, was trained by her mom.

Collier, Goodrich and Steiner all stopped the clock at 14.19 seconds in Odessa to share fifth.

In sixth, taking the final spot, was Jordon Briggs. Briggs, who is the daughter of Kristie Peterson, qualified for the NFR in 2009 before switching her attention to training horses.
