Shannon Griffin has consistently pulled at least one Go-Round check at every rodeo she has been to this winter.

At RodeoHouston, she stepped up to another level and is now the No. 1 barrel racer moving on to the Semifinals from Super Series II after winning Round 2 and placing in Rounds 1 and 3.

Griffin brought in a total of $5,500 in her Super Series with her best run stopping the clock at 14.53 seconds. This is also the fastest run of RodeoHouston this far with the next fastest being a 14.56-second run by Shelley Morgan.

Griffin, who has been to just seven rodeos so far in the 2023 season, is currently just outside the Top 25 in the WPRA World Standings. However, after her performance so far at RodeoHouston, she will likely find herself in the Top 15, and perhaps even as high as the Top 5, by the end of the month depending on what happens in the Semifinals and Finals.
