Dawson Hay had $0 entering the final performance of Bracket 3 and the Canadian saddle bronc rider put together a clutch 90 point ride to win Round 3 and earn $2,500 to advance to the Semifinals in San Antonio.
Wednesday night was Hay’s first qualified ride on Stampede Warrior in four attempts.
“I don’t know, it just seems like I’ve kind of stubbed my toe every time (on Stampede Warrior), I had some vengeance on him tonight,” he said.
The other Semifinalists from Bracket 3 are Stetson Wright ($6,250), Zeke Thurston ($6,250) and Treyson Antonick ($1,833).
