Dakota Eldridge Logs 4.2-Second Run to Set Pace in Round 1 of Cinch Playoffs

On a night where eight of the 12 best bulldoggers in the world broke the barrier, Dakota Eldridge came through with a 4.2-second run to take a comfortable position as the leader of Round 1.

“The start was a little trickier than normal here and luckily, I was riding Clayton (Hass’) good horse (Benz),” Eldridge said. “I just nodded pretty fast so Benz didn’t have time to get nervous in there and want to go as fast.”

All four cowboys that were clean were 5.1 seconds or faster with No. 7 Tristan Martin coming in at 4.4 and No. 15 Trell Etbauer at 4.5.

The same 12 steer wrestlers will be back again Friday night for Round 2 before a new group of 12 will compete twice on Saturday to determine the Top 8 for Sunday’s Semifinals, which is followed by a winner-take-all Finals.

You can watch all four of the remaining performances live on The Cowboy Channel and PRCA on Cowboy Channel+.
