Cody Teel Goes 88 Points on Way to Round 2 Win in Bracket 5

Cody Teel’s hot start to the 2024 season continued in San Antonio during the Bracket Rounds. The No. 1 Bull Rider in the PRCA World Standings took Round 2 in his bracket with an 88-point ride on Pickett Pro Rodeo’s, Surprised.

“He had me worried and surprised right out of there. He was a little better than what I was expecting... there was a couple of times there I thought he had me,” Teel said of his draw.

Teel, who has earned over $40,000 already this season, due largely to a win in Fort Worth has positioned himself nicely to advance the the Semifinals in San Antonio with one ride remaining in his bracket.

Teel failed to go the full eight seconds in the opening round, but his $2,833 earned after Round 2 has him in second place in Bracket 5.

Jordan Hansen was the only rider to make the horn in Round 1 which earned him $7,000 which has nearly locked in his spot in the Semis.
