Three teams were 4.4 seconds or faster in Round 1 of the Cinch Playoffs in Puyallup and Cody Snow/Wesley Thorp were ultimately the ones to beat with a 4.2-second run.
“Our horses fit this setup really well,” Thorp said. “It’s kind of a short, fast setup...We had some confidence coming in, glad we could make a good run to get started.”
Quinn Kesler/Caleb Hendrix came in right behind them at 4.3 and Erich Rogers/Paden Bray were 4.4.
At the Cinch Playoffs, 24 of the top teams in the country are competing to be in the Top 8 on a two-head Average to advance to Sunday.
