Emily Beisel brought her A-game to the Cinch Playoff’s Governor’s Cup, where she dominated all four rounds to claim the Circle Y WPRA Athlete of the Week Title.
Beisel split the lead in Round 1 with World Champion Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi and continued her impressive performance into Round 2, clocking in at 13.69 seconds, securing her spot in the Semifinals.
During the Semifinals, Beisel blazed to victory with the fastest run at 13.84 seconds, confirming her place in the Short-Go alongside some of barrel racing’s best including Summer Kosel, Taycie Matthews and Jessica Routier.
In the Final Round, Beisel and her equine partner, Liza, were unstoppable, clinching the victory with a quick 13.74-second run and securing the coveted $25,000 championship check.
In Sioux Falls, Beisel’s earnings totaled out to $43,750, elevating her to the No. 3 spot in the World Standings and securing her fifth National Finals Rodeo qualification.
