Last year, Dana Peers, Calgary Stampede President and Chairman of the Board, traveled to northern Canada to track down the man he had chosen to serve as the 2020 Calgary Stampede Parade Marshall.

Filipe Masetti Leite, a Brazilian born cowboy, has spent the last 8 years traveling from Northern Canada to South Brazil. His journey began in July 2012 at the Calgary Stampede. He covered over 25,000km and passed through 12 nations - all on horseback. Today, he would have been serving as the official Parade Marshall for the 2020 Calgary Stampede Parade.

The Calgary Stampede shared the touching video below to share Filipe’s incredible story, and celebrate his achievement.
