Caleb Bennett and Jacob Raines Split Day 7 Win at the Calgary Stampede

Jacob Raine and Caleb Bennett topped the leaderboard in Calgary on Day 7 with a pair of 87-point rides. Raine matched up with Free Shipping while Bennett had Montana Cat.

“I set my feet, she hit me in the back and I realized it was go time and she just kept giving me these cool moves… just keep gassing and everything worked out right,” said Raines.

Bennett’s horse made him work at it from the second the chutes opened.

“I mean, bareback riding is purely reaction, if you’re not prepared for it from behind the scenes activities, you’re not going to be ready for it in the arena,” Bennett said.

The $5,000 from Pool B Round 3 win has Bennett splitting second on money earned while Raine is fourth. With $10,500 banked, Round 1 winner Rocker Steiner leads Pool B. Making it back to the Calgary Stampede Short Go is based on money earned during four rounds of rodeo action and with one round left, Bennett and Raine can add to their earnings.
