Bull rider Boudreaux Campbell picks up huge win in Puyallup

Boudreaux Campbell entered the Short Round in Puyallup one spot out of the NFR, but he put together a clutch 86.5-point ride on Bridwell’s Ghetto Spread to win the Go-round and the Average.

The win earned Campbell a total of $7,276, the most of any bull rider at the event and while the PRCA World Standings are in audit on Monday, it appears Campbell will jump over No. 15 Roscoe Jarboe and No. 14 Jordan Spears.

“I needed (this win) bad,” he said. “You really can’t look at them standings, you just have to show up and do your job and everything else will take care of itself......Confidence is key in this game.”

In second, was Shad Winn, the only other cowboy to cover two bulls, and third was Long Round winner and No. 1 man in the world Sage Kimzey.
