Bubba Greig Takes Commanding Lead in Ellensburg

Bubba Greig is back and he dominated the first performance of the Ellensburg Rodeo. With 88 points he takes the lead in the bull riding on a young one of Big Bend Rodeo’s.

Greig missed out on the summer run as he was injured and this was his second ride back.

“I’ve been dealing with some hip injuries, they’re old injuries, I had surgery on them when I was 19 and I was fighting them this summer so I went home over the Fourth of July. We did a whole bunch of [physical therapy], put some injections in them and right now I’m feeling pretty good,” he said.

With one month left of the season and plenty of money to be won, Greig says he is going to keep trying to ride whatever bull he draws and however the money stacks up come October 1, it is what it is.

With two performances left, Greig is looking at coming back to the Short Round in Ellensburg.
