Tie-Down Roper Brushton Minton is off to a hot start in Fort Worth

Brushton Minton clocks an 8.2 in Round 1 of Bracket 5 at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. The California cowboy has set himself on a path of redemption after taking home no money from the first leg of the Texas Swing in 2024.

“It felt good to make a good run. I thought I missed him for a minute but it all worked out,” Minton said.

The all-around hand’s No. 1 event is calf roping and with a Round 1 win coming in by six tenths of a second it is easy to understand why.
