Bob Tallman: Rising to be the Best

Bob Tallman is the King when it comes to rodeo announcing. As an announcer, he fills time, he is a moderator, an informer and more when he takes the microphone at rodeos across the country.

Tallman as worked with many other iconic announcers at some of the largest rodeos in America including Charlie Throckmorton, Boyd Polhamus, Randy Corley and more.

“The demand upon us has risen and you better rise with it,” Tallman said about announcing over the years.

At a rodeo, Tallman says that when the team of announcers, stock contractors, committee members and cowboys come together it is like become a bakery. They serve it all. In his position, he watches the crew and picks up on things to know, from bucking chutes to roping chutes and he keeps the audience engaged and informed.

From the beginning, Tallman has heard rodeo stories from people from every walk of rodeo and champions of every kind. He worked with rodeo companies, he has worked with bucking bulls and more. He has remembered and learned from them all, adding to his bank of knowledge and continuously trying to rise with the sport of rodeo.

Tallman has already gone down in history as one of the best, most iconic rodeo announcers to ever do it and he is not done yet.
