One of the highlights from the entire 10 days of the NFR was Stetson Wright during the bull riding in Round 7.
He got not one, but two re-rides after he didn’t nod for his first bull and his second bull fell down. Wright made good on the third by covering Bloomer’s High Rise for 90.5 points in a two-thirds empty arena to take home the Go-Round win. Josh Frost was the only other bull rider to make the whistle and he was marked just 52.5 points.
“I didn’t have much left in the tank, but with a Gold Buckle on the line, these are the moments we live for he,” he said. “They put me through the wringer tonight.”
Wright went on to finish fourth in the bull riding Average and third overall in the PRCA World Standings.
