Barrel Racer Halyn Lide Doubles Down with Two Stellar Runs at Dickies Arena

Halyn Lide is Semi-Finals bound at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.

Halyn Lide split the Round 1 win of her bracket at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo but when Round 2 rolled around, it was all hers. With a time of 16.21 seconds, she best her Round 1 time and cinched her place in the Semi-Finals.

“Well I knew he did good when he turned his first so I was just proud of him from there on... He’s the reason we’re here, he wants to do this, he loves running barrels and so I take him,” Lide said.

Lide qualified for her first ever National Finals Rodeo on her homegrown horse, Keeper, in 2024 and is setting herself up early on in the 2025 to be on that path again.

Joining Lide from Bracket 6 in the Semi-Finals is Leslie Smalygo and Keyla Costa is in the Wildcard Round.
