Bareback Rookie Rocker Steiner Claims Ellensburg Rodeo Championship

Rocker Steiner keeps adding to his list of accolades and that includes winning Ellensburg Rodeo over Labor Day Weekend.

It was a two head average in the roughstock. Steiner went 86 points on Calgary Stampede’s Bucking Knights in the Long Round to tie for second. and he drew another Calgary bronc for the Short Round. The stage was set as Steiner drew the multi-time National Finals Rodeo horse, Agent Lynx, and the two put on a show for all to see.

“I was very nervous getting on that horse. That’s a great horse of Calgary’s and I’ve always wanted to get on it. It’s even better that I’m getting on it at Ellensburg,” he said.

The rookie matched the bronc’s electricity and power to come out with a score of 89.5 points making his total 175.5 on two. He won the Ellensburg title by four points and is looking at his first NFR as he sits No. 5 in the PRCA World Standings.
