Bareback Rider Jessy Davis Talks About the Wreck that Almost Took his Life

On February 1 of this year, bareback rider Jessy Davis was injured while competing at a rodeo in Salt Lake City when a horse come down on top of him. His liver was split in 2 and he began to bleed out. He needed surgery immediately.

Davis spent the next 45 days in the hospital but, while still healing, he’s finally back home with wife his Cassidy Jo Brunner Davis and their two daughters.

Steve Kenyon recently talked to Jessy and Cassidy about the wreck that almost took his life and how he’s doing now.

“It was pretty intense,” says Cassidy. “The doctors, yah know, they didn’t know if he would make it or not, and he proved them wrong. They were amazed by him after the surgery, so it’s been good since then.”
