Bareback rider Cole Reiner ready for first Las Vegas NFR experience

Cole Reiner wanted to show the bareback riding world exactly what he was capable of last year and after coming into the NFR at Globe Life Field No. 13 and he did just that.

The 2020 Resistol Rookie of the Year placed in seven rounds and won two of them to finish No. 5 in the World Standings.

“Luckily, I think a lot of what played a factor in my success is just being around those guys all of the time, I’m around Kaycee (Feild) and Tilden (Hooper) all of the time, I traveled with them this year and knew them pretty well last year,” he said. “I think I fit in pretty well with everybody and got along pretty good.”

Reiner has been told to prepare for a different, more nerve-wracking experience in his first NFR at the Thomas & Mack Center in 2021, but he doesn’t see it that way.

“I could be completely wrong and I could be eating my words in three weeks, but I don’t think it’s going to be much different,” he said. “Being there once is like being there 10 times I think.”

Reiner, who has never been to Las Vegas, will enter the 2021 NFR No. 8 in the World Standings with $98,216.
