Cole Reiner Wins Bareback Riding Long Round at Horse Heaven Roundup Rodeo

Cole Reiner said it himself, he’s caught another stride as we near the end of the season. The No. 3 bareback rider in the world went to the lead in Kennewick, Washington at the Horse Heaven Roundup Rodeo Wednesday night with an 86.5 point ride on Bridwell Pro Rodeos’ No. 457.

“Whenever you have a nice one like that and then you’re able to come back and get on maybe another of Tim Bridwell’s again or one of the great ones of the Calgary Stampede it makes riding good the first time pretty easy,” he said.

Reiner won just over $2,500 and will be back for the Short Round with the goal of making every last rodeo count as he looks at heading into his third National Finals Rodeo.

Tilden Hooper, who was No. 15 in the world entering this weekend, was second in the Long Round with 85.5 points.

Professional rodeo action consists of two types of competitions - roughstock events and timed events - and an all-around cowboy crown.
