It was a pair of 85-point rides that took the round in Dodge City last night with Jayco Roper and Andy Gingerich splitting the round win.
Roper, who is currently No. 11 in the PRCA World Standings had some familiarity with his matchup and knew he had a good draw.
“It takes a good horse. My buddy just had that horse last week and bucked him down so I was a little nervous so I was glad I could get revenge.”
Gingerich was matched up with Short Night, the same horse that Roper rode last year in Dodge City.
“He was all there and pretty strong. I’m just blessed to get on good horses.”
The two have put themselves in a great spot to advance to the finals in Dodge City this weekend after the 85-point rides.
