Alberta’s Own Ben Anderson Makes Highest Marked Saddle Bronc Ride of the Calgary Stampede in Round 1 of Pool B

Canadian saddle bronc rider Ben Anderson takes the Round 1 win of Pool B with a 90-point ride, the highest marked ride of the week so far and it got his Calgary Stampede off to the right start.

“He bailed out of there and Kind of beat me a little bit cause he stalled and then it was all catch up for a [second] because I got sat down but it was all just to gas and be aggressive and it’s pretty fun honestly, thought, but it was a knife fight,” he said.

Anderson had a tough fourth and is sitting No. 30 in the world right now, a good Calgary Stampede could turn his year around and help get him to a second National Finals Rodeo.

The Alberta native is following in his fathers footsteps and the victory lap that he made after his performance yesterday was a special one.
