Zeke Thurston Continues to Dominate Calgary Stampede

Zeke Thurston continues to be unstoppable at the Calgary Stampede. Thurston has now won all three rounds of Pool A after an 89-point ride on Calgary Stampede’s Urgent Delivery on Sunday. It was Thurston’s third straight trip to the top of the leaderboard. He has now won over $16,000 already in Calgary.

Thurston knew his matchup was going to be a good one saying, “They bucked a lot of colts and some known harder horses. That horse is not easy. Other than his size he doesn’t really do anything bad, he circles tight and gets in the air. Man, he is big, that horse has to be 1,700 pounds, he is huge.”

Thurston says his markout was what set the rest of his ride up.

“It is hard to talk yourself into it sometimes, but that is kind of my style. If I don’t get a good spur out it usually doesn’t go real good. I kind of got my chin off my spur out and one that big is going to do that. I’d rather roll the odds and get a good start.”

Thurston will look to go for a clean sweep in Pool A this afternoon on The Cowboy Channel and the PRCA on The Cowboy Channel+ App.
