Yellowstone Riggin’ Rally: Recap, Highlights and Payouts

The Yellowstone Riggin’ Rally returned over the weekend and for the first time, it was a ticketed event open to the public.

The two-day event featured six qualifiers facing off with the 24 best bareback riders in the PRCA and Mason Clements took home the top prize after a 90 point ride on Frontier’s Southern Star. Clements won $10,000 for his triumph in the Finals and left Weatherford with $11,400 total.

Overall, there were four rides of 89 points or more in the Finals and every cowboy who made the Short Round was 85 points or more in the Long Round.

Section 1: 1. Mason Clements, 85.5, $1,400; 2. (tie) Cole Reiner and Leighton Berry, 85, $1,050 each.

Section 2: 1. Cole Franks, 87.5, $1,400; 2. Tim O’Connell, 85.5, $1,050; 3. Wyatt Denny, 85, $700.

COLE FRANKS’ RIDE

Section 3: Chad Rutherford, 88, $1,400; 2. Tanner Aus, 87.5, $1,050; 3. Tilden Hooper, 86, $700.

CHAD RUTHERFORD’S RIDE

Finals: 1. Mason Clements, 90 points on Frontier Rodeo’s Southern Star, $10,000; 2. Cole Reiner, 89.5, $5,502; 3. (tie) Chad Rutherford and Leighton Berry, 89, $3.304 each; 5. (tie) Tilden Hooper and Tanner Aus, 86.5, $1,320 each.
