As the Top 5 ladies in the breakaway roping hold steady in their well earned positions, the remainder of the WPRA World Standings have continued to shift as these cowgirls make their way through the summer run.
Hali Williams has commanded the lead since her season altering win at RodeoHouston and now has a margin of $34,760 over runner up Shelby Boisjoli while the Angelone sisters claim the No. 3 and No. 5 spot in the Standings.
No. 6 Kelsie Domer, $50,988
Kelsie Domer jumped in the Standings as she turned in some of the quickest times of Cowboy Christmas to secured multiple first place checks including Belle Fourche, Mobridge and the Oakley Independence Day Rodeo. Domer placed at the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo Breakaway Roping with a 2.1-second run to take home an additional check bringing her overall earnings over the Fourth of July weekend to $17,231 propelling her into the No. 6 spot in the WPRA World Standings.
No. 14 Beau Peterson, $39,312
Beau Peterson has hit the road hard this season with 55 rodeos under the cowgirl’s belt and over $39,300 in earnings to land in the Top 15. Peterson kicked off the summer run at No. 21 in the World and has consistently moved her way up in the Standings. The Greeley Stampede was Peterson’s first big payout as she finished third in the Finals with multiple Go-Round checks to take home $7,394. Peterson is now No. 14 in the WPRA World Standings with $39,312 in total earnings.
No. 16 Rickie Engesser, $34,538
Rickie Engesser currently sits on the bubble at No. 17 in the WPRA World Standings with $34,538 in earnings. Engesser secured the Go-Round win in Rounds 1 and 2 at the Greeley Stampede Breakaway Roping to bring in over $6,800 in earnings. Engesser tied for the win at the Killdeer Breakaway Roping with a quick 1.9-second run as she locked in an additional $4,171.
