Taylor Munsell is holding a commanding lead atop the breakaway standings, proving the impact of major wins like Houston, but with the summer run ahead, the race is far from over.
With a trip to the National Finals Breakaway Roping on the line, here are your current Top 15 Breakaway Ropers vying for a spot:
No. 1 Taylor Munsell $92,902
Munsell currently leads the ranks in the breakaway roping, thanks to a massive $65,000 payday from her win at RODEOHOUSTON. That victory catapulted the Oklahoma cowgirl into the top spot and accounts for a significant portion of her overall season earnings so far.
Munsell has continued to stay hot, since picking up $3,779 for a second-place finish in the first round of San Angelo and $1,572 for third in the second round at Guymon.
Last year, it took just over $77,000 to qualify for the National Finals Breakaway Roping in the top 15, so Munsell may have already punched her ticket which is monumental this early in the season.
No. 2 Josie Conner $56,068
Conner has seen numerous checks come her way in the 2025 season but the most significant comes from her first-place finish earlier this year at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo where she finished first for huge $20,000. Additionally, Conner earned over $7,800 throughout the duration of the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. Since, she’s continued to pick up checks at Rodeo Austin and the Clark County Fair & Rodeo.
Finishing third last year in the WPRA World Standings, Conner is looking to make her way back to the Finals and hopefully finish in the top spot.
No. 3 Joey Williams $51,192
2025 started off strong from Williams bringing in money at the Montana Circuit Finals, Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo and San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.

George walked away the 2025 Rodeo Austin Breakaway Champion which solidified her spot in the top of the standings earning over $14,000. She finished 11th in the world at the conclusion of the 2024 NFBR, but with her recent success this year, she’s positioned herself much stronger than where she was a year ago last season.
No 7. Bradi Good $39,039
A second-place finish in the Championship round of RODEOHOUSTON contributed $30,000 to Good’s season earnings, setting her up well for the rest of the year. Since that monumental win, Good also finished fourth in the first round of Guymon Pioneer Days to pocket an additional $1,295.
No. 8 Beau Peterson $35,615
Peterson’s number eight position in the standings can be attributed to a number of strong performances this year.
