It’s a close competition in the breakaway roping as the ladies have stayed on top of their game and remained steady in their World Standing position with the exception of No. 6 cowgirl Taylor Munsell as she jumped six spots to land inside the Top 10 with a win at the Calgary Stampede.
No 6. Taylor Munsell, $56,923
Taylor Munsell makes a big move as she jumps six places in the World Standings, finding her current position at No. 6 with $56,923 in total earnings. Munsell finished out the NFR Open Breakaway Roping Semifinals at No. 1 and rounded out the rodeo at No. 2 in the Final Round bringing in just under $16,400 in Colorado Springs. A 1.7-second run at the Calgary Stampede Breakaway Roping sent Munsell straight to the pay window as she collected just over $14,000.
No. 8 Jackie Crawford, $51,910
World Champion Jackie Crawford turned in an aggregate time of 8.1 seconds on two head to split the lead in the Average at the Sheridan WYO Rodeo with fellow cowgirl Amanda Coleman. Crawford pulled a check for just over $4,000 in Sheridan and kept the momentum going as she claimed second place in the Final Round of the Calgary Stampede with a 1.8-second run.
No. 4 Sarah Angelone, $66,377
Sarah Angelone may not have been gunning for another trip to the National Finals Breakaway Roping but it just comes naturally to the cowgirl as she now sits No. 4 in the World Standings. Angelone’s lucrative winter set her up for success as she has remained in the Top 10 for the majority of the season. A go-round win at the Sheridan WYO Breakaway Roping placed her at No. 5 in the Average as she pulled a check for just over $3,500. Another check was picked up by Angelone as she tied for first place at the Westcliffe Breakaway Roping to add an additional $1,770 to her earnings.
