Wenda Johnson was unstoppable at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo breaking the arena record twice. She now sits in the No. 1 spot in the World Standings with $24,520 in earnings.

Johnson and Mac broke the previous record on their first run in Bracket 7 with a 16.170 that earned Johnson $1,760 and they won Round 2 of their bracket with a 16.210 before a 16.530 would earn them a fourth in the Semifinals. Johnson would come back to break her own record, that she set just earlier that week, with a 16.080 in the Final Round. This run also made her the 2022 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Barrel Racing Champion.

Coming in at No. 2 in the World Standings is World Champion Jordan Briggs. Briggs gave Rollo some time off after the National Finals Rodeo and they have come back just as strong.

Briggs started her 2022 season at the Texas Circuit Finals where she took home over $2,400. In Fort Worth, Briggs was second in Round 1 of her bracket and first in Round 2. She was second in the Semifinals and came back in the Final Round to run her second fastest time of the week with a 16.300.

When in Denver, Pozzi Tonozzi gave credit to the amazing animal athletes that make doing her job fun.

“You know I’ve just been super blessed to have the horses I have,” she said. “It never gets old winning.”
