Montana Silversmiths WPRA Athlete of the Week: Lisa Lockhart Solidifies Semifinals Qualification with Fastest Runs of RodeoHouston

Lisa Lockhart secures a position in the Semifinals after locking in two Go-Round wins in Super Series 1

Lisa Lockhart dominated Super Series 1 of RodeoHouston, securing two Go-Round wins and claiming the top spot in the Semifinals Qualifiers with earnings of $6,750.

Lockhart and her equine partner Rosa were quick inside NRG Stadium as they clocked the two fastest runs so far through seven perforamances RodeoHouston to take the Montana Silversmiths WPRA Athlete of the Week Title.

In Round 2 of Super Series 1, Lockhart blazed through the arena, clocking in at an impressive 14.50 seconds to lock in the fastest run of RodeoHouston. This outstanding performance earned her a Go-Round win and a paycheck of $3,000.

Lockhart’s momentum only continued to build as she entered the Final Round of Super Series 1. Lockhart delivered yet another show stopping run and she crossed the eye at 14.57 seconds, securing the second-fastest time of the rodeo.

Lockhart will be joined in the Semifinals by Paige Jones, Jessica Routier, and Ashley Castleberry, who also advanced from Super Series 1 at RodeoHouston.

The 17-time National Finals Rodeo qualifier currently holds the 9th position in the WPRA World Standings, maintaining her momentum through the Texas Swing. Lockhart has never won RodeoHouston, her best finish was second in 2011.
