Every time Will Lummus has backed into the box at Dickies Arena in 2023, he has been 4.1 seconds or faster and left with a four-figure check.
In Bracket 7, the 2022 Reserve World Champion was first in Round 1 and second in Round 2 to leave with more than $3,000 and on Thursday, he added $4,000 more to his name with his fastest run of the season, a 3.7.
“At a setup like this, you have to bring the heater every time,” he said. “Honestly, I really like these setups because I don’t have to think much, I can just go do my thing.”
All seven of Lummus’ qualified times this season have been 5.1 seconds or faster and three have been sub-4.
It took a 4.4 or faster to advance out of the first Semifinal and Ty Erickson, Riley Duvall and Shane Frey are also moving on to Saturday’s Finals.
