Will Lummus Captures Big Win in Fort Worth to Take Early Lead in World Standings

Will Lummus was a force all through out the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. When Championship Saturday rolled around, the Mississippi steer wrestler never let off the gas and he took home the title after a 4.1-second run.

“This is a big win right here, especially this early. That right there sets you up for a good winter just, you know, in all but we’ve got a lot of big rodeos left and it could really propel us,” Lummus said.

This win made Lummus the No. 1 bulldogger in the PRCA World Standings with $30,028 to his name. Ty Erickson finished second in Fort Worth and now sits second with another Fort Worth finalist, Tucker Allen, being No. 3 in the world.

The winter run is well underway and we will see the Fort Worth Champion in San Antonio next.
