Bareback rider Waylon Bourgeois joins Western Sports Round-Up.

Louisiana bareback rider Waylon Bourgeois is the highest money earner at RodeoHouston after the first two Super Series with $8,500 to his name. With three go-round wins to his name, Bourgeois’ trip so far has been flawless.

“Being prepared is one of my main goals. To show up to every rodeo being prepared, it gives you a confidence that can’t be stopped,” Bourgeois said.

Bourgeois split Round 1 before winning Round 2 and 3. He sits No. 4 in the PRCA World Standings. He will return to NRG Stadium for the RodeoHouston Semi-Finals.

“It all boils down to drawing good horses and capitlizing on opportunites. Just go and do your job, you know,” Bourgeois said.

With winning on his mind, Bourgeois continues to add to his earnings leading up to the Semi-Finals.
