Tie-down roper Tyler Milligan is sitting at No. 10 in the PRCA World Standings after an impressive season that lead him to his third National Finals Rodeo qualification.
Milligan has earned a total of $118,708 throughout the regular season as he cashed in big checks at major rodeos such as RodeoHouston and San Angelo.
BIGGEST PAYDAYS
Rodeo Houston, $27,750
Milligan secured his largest check of the season at Rodeo Houston where he finished out the Championship Shootout Round in second place to earn a total of $27,750. Four of Milligan’s five runs were 8.2 seconds or faster.
San Angelo Rodeo, $19,181
One of Milligan’s fastest runs of the season cinched him the No.1 spot in Round 1 with a time of 7.6 seconds to earn $6,219. That run helped send him to the Finals, which he won with a 7.8-second run. Milligan also shared the Average title with Tuf Cooper at 23.5 seconds on three head.
FASTEST RUNS
Old Fort Days, 7.3 Seconds
Milligan won the Second Round at the Old Fort Days in June with his fastest run of the season. The run helped Milligan win the rodeo with a two-head time of 15.8 seconds.
The Calgary Stampede, 7.4 Seconds
Milligan placed in two rounds in Pool A and finished second in the First Round with a 7.4-second run. Milligan won a total of $12,000 at The Stampede.
San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, 7.6 seconds
A 7.6-second run at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo locked in one of Milligan’s fastest runs of the season and earned the cowboy a total of $3,500.
NOTABLE WINS
Golden Spike Rodeo, 7.9 Seconds
Milligan turned in a time of 7.9 seconds in Tremonton, Utah at the Golden Spike Rodeo to take home the title and a check of $5,074.
Horse Heaven Roundup Rodeo, 24.6 Seconds on Three
Just four days after Milligan’s win in Tremonton, the cowboy took the No. 1 spot in both the Finals and Average at the Horse Heaven Roundup Rodeo to secure a check of $8,953.
