Last year, tie down roper Tuf Cooper finished 11th in the world standings, and in 2025, the 4x World Champion is off to an outstanding start.
With big wins at Rodeo Austin, San Antonio, and most recently the Music City Rodeo, Cooper has already earned over $50,000 and currently sits fifth in the overall standings.
Now as a father and navigating life without his dad and mentor, the legendary Roy Cooper, Tuf’s perspective on rodeo has shifted, but his competitive spirit remains unchanged. Every time he backs into the box, his goal is still the same–to win.
While the rodeo trail looks a little different without his father by his side, Cooper carries Roy’s presence with him every step of the way.
“From this point moving forward, my dad’s with me in spirit, he’s in my heart and in all the coaching he gave me throughout my life,” Cooper says.
