Trevor Brazile is returning to action at the Bob Feist Invitational, this time as a heeler.
Brazile has qualified for the Wrangler NFR 13 times in the team roping, but only once (1998), as a heeler. He is one of seven cowboys to qualify for the NFR in team roping on the both the head and the heel side.
“I heeled more than I headed growing up,” Brazile said. “We didn’t have an arena when I was a kid, so I’d always heel something. I heeled more goats than I headed steers.”
He will rope behind horse trainer Miles Baker. Brazile won the BFI as a header in 2013.
The Bob Feist Invitational will be held at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma on Sunday, March 14. The BFI moved to Lazy E Arena last year due to COVID-19. The Cinch Timed Event Championships will be held at the same location from March 11-13.
