Two of the highest paying rodeos over the weekend were the Horse Heaven Round-Up in Washington and the Golden Spike Stampede in Utah and both tie-down roping titles were won by Tyler Milligan.
Milligan was dominant at the Horse Heaven Round-Up, winning two of the three rounds, including the Short Round. He won the rodeo with an aggregate time of 24.6 seconds, more than a second clear of second place Kyle Lucas. Milligan collected almost $9,000 at the event, which was the second-most of any athlete.
At the Golden Spike Rodeo, he made the most of the one-header by clocking a time of 7.9 seconds to win over $5,000.
Milligan is No. 8 in the PRCA World Standings and in position to make his third NFR after making two in a row in 2019 and 2020. Milligan has been a mainstay in the Top 10 all summer long and has banked more than $20,000 in August.
