Timed Event Athlete of the Week: Ty Erickson Dominates at Clark County and Oakdale Saddle Club Rodeo

Ty Erickson sits No. 5 in the World Standings following win in Logandale and Oakdale

Ty Erickson locked in the win at the Oakdale Saddle Club Rodeo and the Clark County Fair and Rodeo to claim the Timed Event Athlete of the Week title.

An Average time of 10.1 seconds on two head secured Erickson into the No. 1 spot in Oakdale, California to add $1,846 to his earnings. Payden McIntyre, Tucker Allen and Mason Couch trailed behind Erickson on the leaderboard.

Erickson secured a check for just under $8,000 in Logandale, Nevada as he secured the top spot in the Average with 7.9 seconds on two head. Erickson split third-place with Dalton Massey and Jake Nelson in Round 1, each stopping the clock in 4.0 seconds flat. The Montana cowboy kept the momentum going into Round 2 where he locked in a second-place time of 3.9 seconds.

As he sits No. 5 in the PRCA World Standings, the World Champion is on track to securing his ninth National Finals Rodeo qualification.
