Tuf Cooper’s winter has been slow as he has stayed close to home for most of it but luckily, the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo is just a ways down the road. The Texas tie-down roper was as consistent as ever there before he took off to Tucson to be your Timed Event Athlete of the Week.

In Round 1 of Bracket 4, Cooper stopped the clock at 7.9 seconds to get the Go-Round win and the $2,500 that comes with it. In Round 3, his 8.0-second run would be fast enough for second and it’s $2,000 payday. When combined, his earnings in San Antonio qualified him for the Semifinals.

After completing his bracket in San Antonio, Cooper went to the La Fiest De Los Vaqueros in Arizona where his 8.6-second run currently holds the lead.

Cooper currently sits as the No. 6 ranked tie-down roper in the World with $20,411 as his 2024 season earnings. As he looks towards the Semifinals of the second of five Texas Swing rodeos, Cooper’s success could mean big moves. Your Timed Event Athlete of the Week is Texas cowboy Tuf Cooper.
