Your Timed Event Athlete of the Week is tie-down roper Marcos Costa, who had a great showing in his Super Series at RodeoHouston.
Costa opened his Super Series with a win and a 9.8-second run, nearly a full second faster than Beau Cooper, who placed second.
Costa followed that up with his best run of the Super Series at 9.6 seconds to tie for the round win with Cooper.
In his final round of the series, Costa placed second after going 9.9 seconds.
The strong showing advanced Costa out of his series as the top money earner with $6,500 earned over the three days.
The 2017 World Champion has jumped inside the Top 15 and is seeking his fifth career NFR appearance.
