Steer wrestler Jesse Brown put on an outstanding performance in both San Angelo, Texas and Longdale, Nevada over the weekend to add a total of about $17,000 to his season earnings.
Brown is currently the No.2 ranked steer wrestler in the PRCA World Standings.
In San Angelo, Brown stayed almost as consistent as it can get. A 4.1-second run in Round 1, a 4.2 in Round 2 and 4.0 to tie for second in the Finals landed him at No. 2 in the average. He rounded out his Texas Swing with almost $10,000 from the San Angelo Rodeo.
The Clark County Fair and Rodeo in Logandale was the first rodeo of the run out west. There, Brown dominated the First Round with a 3.7 to win it by four tenths. Things slowed down in the Second Round to a 4.4-second run, but he was still in the money. By the time the last steer was run, Brown topped the Average with 8.1 on two.
The three-time National Finals Rodeo bulldogger has had a successful winter run and he is already off to a quick start out west earning him the title of Timed Event Athlete of the Week.
