Effective Jan. 1, 2023, Tim Keener will take over for Pat Christenson as the President of Las Vegas Events.

“Tim brings a wealth of experience, leadership skills and institutional knowledge to the position,” Las Vegas Event Board of Trustees Chairman Bill McBeath said in a press release. “For more than 21 years, Las Vegas Events has enjoyed tremendous continuity and success under the direction of Pat Christenson. Our expectation is that Tim will continue to build on the core tenets of the organization and lead it into the future.”

Keener started his career with Raycom Sports and GNI Sports in the late 1980s overseeing college football and basketball events before working for ESPN Regional Television in 1994. There, he coordinated the Las Vegas Showdown, which helped him get hired on with LVE in 2001.

Keener is currently the Vice President of Event and Ticket Operations at LVE and has overseen the planning and execution of many events - including the NFR and Cowboy Christmas.

Christenson will stay with the company in a consulting role to the LVE Board of Trustees.
